Roof Replacement

We offer tear off, repair and installation services, as well as gutters.

The Roof Replacement Process

When getting your roof replaced there are a lot of things to take into consideration, but we have tried to make things easier for everyone by providing this helpful timeline for an average 2500 sq ft home.

1

Material Delivery

The day before the crew arrives, a flatbed or boom truck will deliver shingles, underlayment, ridge vents, nails, and other materials. These are usually placed either on the roof (if the pitch allows) or stacked in the driveway or yard.
* Heads up: Make space in your driveway, and move any fragile outdoor items like potted plants or patio furniture. A dumpster is usually parked in the driveway for debris.
2

DAY 1: Work Begins - About 7 - 8 am (depending on what homeowner instructs)

The roofing crew arrives early to beat the heat. They’ll set up ladders, safety harnesses, and tarps to protect landscaping and exterior walls. The crew starts removing old shingles, underlayment, and flashing, section by section. This part is loud and messy, —taking just a few hours.
🔹 Watch for nails and debris. Keep pets and kids indoors.
3

Mid-Day (noonish)

Once the roof is stripped down to the wooden decking, the crew inspects for rot, water damage, or soft spots. Any damaged plywood will be replaced to ensure a solid base.
🔹 Most homes need a sheet or two replaced, especially around chimneys or valleys.
4

Later (about 2 - 3 pm)

Synthetic underlayment and ice & water shield (if required) are rolled out for waterproofing. Flashing is installed around chimneys, vents, and valleys. This step protects your home from future leaks.
5

3 PM - 6PM

With everything prepped, the new shingles go on! Crews usually start from the bottom edge and work their way up, laying shingles, ridge caps, and starter strips.
🔹 Architectural shingles are heavier and more wind-resistant than 3-tab.
6

DAY 2: 7 - 8 AM Start

The crew finishes the shingling process, installs ridge vents, pipe boots, and completes all detail work. For a 2,500 - 3000 sq ft house, most replacements wrap up by early afternoon on the second day—weather permitting.
🔹 Your roof is now weather-tight and looking fresh!
7

DAY 2 - (3:00 - 5:00)

Cleanup is taken seriously: tarps are rolled up, stray nails are picked up with magnets, and leftover materials are packed up. A good crew will walk the property with you to review the job and answer questions.
🔹 Inspect your landscaping and yard afterward, just in case.
8

Completion & Final Payment

After completion and home owner inspection final payment is made. With a reliable roofing contractor like us and decent weather, a 2,500 - 3000 sq ft asphalt shingle roof can be fully replaced in 1–2 days, with minimal disruption and long-term peace of mind. Just remember: a little preparation on your part goes a long way in keeping the project smooth from start to finish.
